Mouse and rat - Scotland's Glue Trap Ban

From 1 July 2026, it is a criminal offence in Scotland to use, supply or possess a glue trap for vertebrate animals under new legislation designed to improve animal welfare. The ban reflects growing recognition that glue traps can cause significant and unnecessary suffering to both target and non-target species.

At 360 Wildlife Control, we welcome this change. Humane, ethical, and responsible wildlife management has always been at the heart of our approach. Rather than relying on glue traps, we use effective alternative methods that prioritise animal welfare while delivering safe and practical solutions for our clients.

Whether providing proofing, exclusion measures, live trapping where appropriate, or integrated pest and wildlife management strategies, our experienced team is committed to finding the most effective and humane solution for every situation.
